I haven't been very active on POF lately because I have been out of town. I'm a teacher, school is about to start again, and so I'm back home again...and STILL on POF. I don't think I'm overly picky...okay, that doesn't mean I'm not selective. If you live with your parents (I know, at this age, you are telling your friends that they're living with you), are habitually unemployed (self-employed, especially if it is code for between gigs, and college students generally but not always fall into this category), or are generally mentally unstable (and not in the good way), then we're not going to click. Beyond that, it's really just a matter of chemistry. I love guys, who can tell a good story and make me laugh. I guess you could say that I like men, who are smart with a touch of the wisenhiemer (sp?) to boot. I think that Dave Letterman is sexy, go figure. Not that he is, but I have always enjoyed Canadians (living as far as I do from the northern border, this is just a random factoid that I throw in for my own enjoyment). I want to find someone, who will be my rock (it would be nice to be able to say that I know what my rock is cooking when my son isn't watching wrestling). By the same token, I think that relationships are two way streets. I want to be there for someone, to be a help-mate. It's really the little things that I'm looking for. Sitting together on a Sunday afternoon reading the paper, not saying a word; holding hands; a hand picked flower; a back-rub or a hand squeeze; the glance that says we're in this together, we're on the same team; growing old together. I'm even looking for the person, who maybe slightly annoys me b/c he squeezes the toothpaste instead of rolling it down -- the kinds of things you worry about when you have decided that it's forever. With that said, I don't believe that every date I go on or every guy I meet is going to be the one, but that's what I'm trying to find. How 'bout you?
Where I would go on a first date:I don't know that ther is one first date that fits everybody's needs. I think this is something that needs to be decided together.
